Estimates only
Our calculators use published formulas and average values. Individual animals differ in metabolism, breed, health and activity, and pet food labels and products vary. Results are estimates and may not be accurate for your pet. Pets that are very young, old, pregnant, nursing, overweight, underweight or unwell may need very different amounts than our tools suggest.
Emergencies
If you think your pet has been poisoned or is in danger, contact your veterinarian, the nearest emergency animal hospital or a pet poison control hotline immediately. Our chocolate toxicity calculator is a risk guide, not a decision about whether your pet needs treatment.
